Alix smith

Alix Smith is a specialist in learning through visual art. She has over 17 years experience of managing and delivering visual arts projects with a wide range of audiences.

She has an MA in Artist Teaching and Contemporary Practices (Goldsmiths University 2013 delivered in partnership with Tate Modern) and is a Qualified Arts Award Adviser. 

She currently heads the Learning Programme for an art museum and also works as a freelance artist-educator.

Recent projects include the BBC’s Your Paintings: Masterpieces in Schools, featured on Radio 4 and a major exhibition and accompanying community engagement programme at Somerset House for Ben Uri's, ‘Out of Chaos’ Centenary show. 

Art Cart London is Alix's mobile pop-up art workshop business. The Art Cart can be hired for a range of events and projects.  Alix can deliver art workshops for children and adults, and for events such as children's parties, school workshops, corporate functions, festivals, markets and community projects.

Alix Smith was born in North London. She has two children.
